my friend had an MIM squier series p bass that played fantastic. i loved the neck on it.

Man, that's a goddamn cul score, especially for only $200.

fixed the top strap button today using the same technique i used for my P Rails Tele

The top strap button is loose [screw hole is stripped]
what i did was take a golf tee, sand it down to size and jam it in there with some wood glue
let it sit for a few hours, then cut off the excess tee.
start a pilot hole and screw away
i did the same thing with my P Rails tele

it works like a charm, i don't see why people use toothpicks

i have a bad case of tele gas now. I miss my old squire, was a dead nice guitar. Haven't got a single maple necked guitar now. Need to find one dead cheap.
