How do Xaviere Telecasters compare to Fender/Squier Teles?

How do Xaviere Telecasters compare to Fender/Squier Teles?
I might buy one from some things I heard about it, but how do these guys compare aesthetically?
Some questions I have are:
1. Are the bodies on?
2. Are some of the measurements correct?
3. Where could I find a real cheap tele neck to replace the crappy headstock one that comes with it?
Thanks for all answers shortscale.

It's illegal for them to make a genuine telecaster body. They have to change dimensions to avoid a law suit... I'm not sure exactly what you are asking.Josh wrote:I meant are the bodies the same dimensions of a telecaster body. I don't want to buy it and have the body not be like a telecaster. Like the sx les paul a user on here bought. It'd eventually kill me knowing that the body wasn't a genuine telecaster body.
and thanks for the help.

I have a Xaviere strat. In comparison to a Mexican strat, they feel and look exactly the same. I’m pretty sure the dimensions are slightly off to avoid lawsuits, but it’s not noticeable. The Xaviere is a little lighter than the Mexican strat. The pickups on it need to go though. Oh and Xaviere strats are compatible with fender parts. Put in a fender prewired pickguard the other day. Down the road I want to put a fender neck on it to get rid of that ugly headstock.

jcyphe made a thread about this a little while ago. Fender recently lost their lawsuit to have trademark rights on the stratocaster body shape. Back in the day they never bothered to patent any of their body shapes except for the jazzmaster 0ffset body. that's why there are all these copies of fenders, unlike les paul copies which are always a little bit off to avoid legal entanglements (except for the MIJ "lawsuit" copies which are a whole other story). Close copies of the jazzmaster body are nearly impossible to find in the US.
most copies of telecasters, stratocasters and p basses are very close copies. except for the headstock shape fender can't do anything about it.

cogito ergo sum...thing or other...
The neck pockets are too big on those GFS bodies so I assume Xavier as well, made for their necks (though there were big gaps on the matching GFS neck and body even though they say they're a perfect fit so it probably doesn't fit any neck properly) they're more accurately proportioned than a Squier affinity though apart from that.
And a Tele custom pickguard more or less fit on the GFS body I bought, so did a standard fender tele pickguard, and on a squier standard body even though the squier standard pickguard is way off from genuine fender. I'm sure it'd be fine. If you're thinking the horn shape between pickguard and body is gonna be wonky or whatever no way, it'll be totally fine.
You'd have mad gappage on all sides of neck pocket. The neck pocket on my body wasn't cut straight either (at the bottom), so I had to do a lot of measuring to drill the neck on straight.
Next time I build a Fender (which is NOW) I'm using Allparts bits (which I HAVE), will post my findings on those. Obviously nowhere near as cheap, but hopefully with quality to match.
