ROLF. There are some people there that know their stuff, but many more who are really tiresome.
I'm getting told I can't comment on how Klon pedals sound or are built because I made a clone of one (from a verified schematic) and don't have a "genuine" model. These people are a boutique pedal maker's dream.

Ah Mike, it's 'cause you didn't date the pots with a pencil or use period correct wiring. Though seriously, if you had I reckon they'd be all over it like rats.
That was the first thing I looked for. Apparently everyone there was too dumb to think of that though because on any of the pages that I looked on ( I didn't read the whole thread) no one thought to look at the fucking serial number. Aparently they're touring near the dude and he's on the list at their gig to meet them and return the guitar. I think it's really decent that the dudes returnig it. You never know it could lead back to more of their stolen gear...

last I checked, he was in contact with lee renaldo's guitar tech. lee is more than willing to reimburse him for the full cost of what he bought it for (this was his main mustang that he played for years and years). SY will be touring in his area pretty soon and they are going to make the exchange then.
so happy ending afterall!![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

the answer was quite plainly there days ago.
seeing as it isn't the 25th of april yet and time travel is still out of our grasp technology-wise, mr sonic youth doesn't have his guitar back.Hi Michael,
This Is (...), Sonic Youth guitar tech. I'm in New York with the band now. Lee is very much interested in getting the guitar back!
It's very cool of you to have brought this to our attention.
How much would you like for it? We'll gladly pay you what you paid, & hopefully something extra for your trouble.
Do you live in Maastricht? Sonic is playing in Luxembourg April 25. Is this near you? Perhaps you'd like to come to the show. If you can't make it, we could make other arrangements.
once again on behalf of the band, thanks!
Eric
Story makes its way to Pitchfork. Lee Ranaldo apparently gave him one of those Mastery bridges as a thank you.
