I think it'd be cracking for the portability..
Stick it in your car for spontaneous creativity.
You could probably even sneak it into work on a quiet day.
failing that, if you're ever stuck for a cricket bat... or an oar

WHAT THE HELL that thing is huge. I'd dislocate my shoulder going for the mini toggles.stewart wrote:i think it just reminds me of this a bit:

Get a Travis Bean that is not intended to herd traffic away from roadside accidents and we're talking.endsjustifymeans wrote:but aluminum neck... duz wantz.paul_ wrote:WHAT THE HELL that thing is huge. "Bear left, Mary, there's an ugly guitar in the road. Oh wait, it's a traffic cone... OH WAIT..."

Guess what I just got?
I love it.
Okay quick review.
LOVE the body. It's REALLY heavy - heavier than my mates bass, and solid as a rock. I recently pulled it all apart as i had various mods in mind and this is a quick summary of thoughts.
Good:
HEAVY
SEE THROUGH PURPLE YO
Got it for £75 inc P&P from Wesley Guitars own ebay auctions
Neck feels pretty good, fits in body nice and tight.
It all works as you'd expect.
Feels awesome slung low.
Now the 'challenges':
The neck is possibly not hard enough or thick enough to cope with the body. The neck is easily pulled slightly out of tune against the sheer brute weight of the body.
The neck is a good thinnish modern profile, standard measurements etc but seems a little unfinished. A slight sanding and some coating of your favourit kind would help. The frets deffo need a proper dressing.
Now the big pisser for those like me who'd want to swap out the dirt cheap hardwwear. None of the hardwear, or the neck heel screw holes are ever quite that of a standard strat so you cannot do a straigght swap. Even the pickguard is slightly difffrent. I overlaid a strat PG on the guitar and you could use one with some hole redrilling but the actual shape is not quite right against the body as the stock guard. ME WANT UP GREEN PEARLOID, YOU UM CUT ME ONE PLZ FOR BROZ DEAL?
Gotta go but there's some more details I'll post later after work...

Did a nice little photoshoot over the weekend. Some 'over stuff' action included. picks when when those prickwits at Orange sort out my home broardband. It's only been a frakkin month since it went down after all. Bastards.
