This website/online program is amazing. >> http://www.hobnox.com/audiotool.1046.html

Basically, you drag the drum machines/synth/pedals into the middle and use them as if they were hardware. Everything is at the same tempo so you can have multiple synth lines and beats going. Link up the cables between any pedals etc like in Reason. Its amazing. The graphics are soo nice, sounds are really close to the vintage drum machines and sequencer.

GO CHECK IT OUT!

I could easily waste a whole work day on that.

same!! Its so addictive. I would pay for something like that if it had more bits of hardware and stuff, its a lot easier having the fx in the traditional pedal format than VST plugin stuff. I find it easier anyway.

right after the first gorillaz record came out, they had two secret things like this on their website. this was back in like 2000/2001, so keep in mind it was a little less fluid, and fun-packed, but i wasted a lot of time in college with it. it was basically a tr-808 with multiple phrase samples instead of drum sounds.

reminds me of wasting a lot less time with this (may not work, can't check from work):

Singing Horses

it's from a swedish kid's tv show. if you haven't seen the intro page, i definitely recommend you go here and check the actual page out. it is the sickest kids show i've ever seen.

EDIT: the site is no longer up. damnit.
