are you gonna leave the block 'stock or cut something fenderish?
i've always wanted to see a maple-necked jazzmaster with pearl blocks and white binding. preferably in all-black with white pickup covers. someday...

No, that doesn't. Should it? I've only just got over my life-long aversion to maple fretboards.

What's with the big-ass truss rod access hole? That thing's huge!

Are the blocks ebony?

Bubbles! Where you been braugh?

Ooh. That A hole is huge! I didn't get one--just a mention. The only guitar I will ever need to buy or build is a Starcaster. That means adding wood anyway. I don't know if I would make it a 3 or 4 screw. Believe me, I am thinking about it.

Yet I think I already have all the guitar I will ever need.

Man, I still haven't posted pics yet. Maybe this weekend I can spray the Gibson and the Gretsch Corvette. My latest acquisition is a Gretsch Streamliner (similar to the one below). I have already torn off half of the binding. It was DISSOLVING. I got the impression that it needs to come of so it doesn't corrode the metal. Srsly. I ordered some new binding and am thrilled to have the chance to save it. If you can't fix it, you don't PWN it.

Those of you MONKEES fans may recognize this as the leftovers from the Gretsch signature model of 1967. I almost wish the tobacco burst were so screwed up I could paint it red, but then I would have too many damn red archtops. I have the orange Coro, the red Gibson and Mosrite, and now this. It's the quadrifecta of cheap end archtops. I wasn't even looking for one (other than the dull nagging sensation in the back of my head), but it showed up in my local Craigslist and I dropped what I was doing and went there one day. It was one of the best days of my life. I PROMISE to record some video comparisons.
