It's greeeeeeeat, can't wait to try it with the bass, the very purpose it was tweaked and built for. MASSIVE hats off to Mike for turning this around so quickly and making it such a great little beast.

HAHA, great job Spaz Hands. That dial on the right was a nice unexpected surprise. Killer pedal.

This is kinda like a new pedal im having built for me by a local guy a know. What circuit is the main drive section? Mine is gonna be called the chalice of drive, its gonna be a fulltone OCD and a booster in one box.

i'm probably wrong, but i think a box of mike is a zvex box of rock with changed tone controls.

nice demo!

i see you have a boss ps3 on your board. I'm thinking of thrading my whammy for one. I only use the octave up an 2 octaves up on my whammy, do you know if the ps3 with a expression pedal will do the same thing?

This version is to Doog's spec, it's a Box Of Rock straight up clone with the SHO boost stage moved from after (as a pure volume boost) to before the dirt, so it acts as a gain boost, I think it sounds pretty phat.

Thanks for the demo mate, it sounds wikki wikki wah! You'll have to get it up on Shortscalegeardemos.

It's a PS-5 in fact- it's a lot closer in sound to the Whammy when it's in "Harmony" mode (can be set to straight octaves as well as intelligent harmonies), works just like a Whammy with a expression pedal, and has the added bonus of a mix dial between your dry and pitchshifted tones.

The PS-5 "Pitchshift" mode is the same as the PS-3, which is polyphonic, and while making it good for chords, makes it sound wobbly and a bit shit. I'd defo recommend the PS-5, I chose it over a Whammy; didn't wanna deal with the size and stupid adaptor the Whammy needs.

My demo vid of said box:

Mike- gonna sort out my Paypal/card quandary now, so hopefully you'll get some PP Moneez or failing that, a bank transfer shortly. Will let ye know.

edit: PAYPAL'D! Lemme know if it's gone through ok.

hahahah, I have always wondered why the whammy gets associated with Matt Bellamy, when he only uses it on one song. It should be more associated with jack white, or omar rodrigez lopez.

The problem with teh Whammy I think is that the treadle is right there, calling you. Making you tread on it and sound like an idiotface. I think the PS-5 makes you think a bit more about doing it RIGHT for the SONG rather than just for lols. Or maybe that's me perceiving something that isn't there. Anyways, I like how Doog uses it.

that's why i like pitch shifts like the pog more then the whammy. More musical, although I wouldn't mind having a whammy to play around on.

U R 2 KYND

I do use an expression pedal with it sometimes, but it works for me better as just an octaver most of the time.
