Ooo, lots. I'm not going cheap on this one. Under $700 though.Haze wrote:how much...
I can tell you that building an all-GFS Esquire will run you around $300, give or take depending on how many bits you already have lying around. I made a tele custom with MIM pickguard and WRHB on it using all new GFS parts except those, and it was around $400.

Josh wrote: 1) That would look immaculate if you added a pickguard and maybe a telecaster neck to that. Still, I envy you.
2) I really dig your Jazzmaster, white on tort is great.
3) Are you still in Pittsburgh?
1. Yeah if I had it to do all over again, I would have constructed it more like the "Telemasters" that Fender is now offering. However, when I built it there was no such thing -- so I was actually being kinda original, haha.
2. Thanks, it's my main guitar.
3. Yes, usually in Oakland/Bloomfield/Squirrel Hil/Shadyside area around Pitt's campus, but occasionally go back to the 'rent's house back in the south hills. Where abouts are you, perhaps we can get together and jam sometime.
nah, yours is better. everything looks more balanced, mostly because of the control plate location. he's right, with a pickguard -- like something in between a jazzmaster and a 50s p-bass -- it would look awesome.Aeon wrote:1. I'm located in good 'ol sheraden, but hang out in oakland sometimes. Tha'd be cool sometime though, I'm good for jamming whenever.Aeon wrote:Josh wrote: 1) That would look immaculate if you added a pickguard and maybe a telecaster neck to that. Still, I envy you.

Aeon's is much better looking. It's funny how not having a scratchplate makes it look less sparse.mage wrote:nah, yours is better. everything looks more balanced, mostly because of the control plate location. he's right, with a pickguard -- like something in between a jazzmaster and a 50s p-bass -- it would look awesome.Aeon wrote:1.
