Got this crappy usb mic, for recording with a band i'm in, and i want to hear what i'm saying through my speakers (which is my problem) it's connected, works, etc. but i cant hear what i'm saying.
Then I have no idea how to use audicity (i might use something else.).
Any help here?

i'd recommend finding out how the software you're using actually works or you're not going to get very far.
why d'you need to monitor your vocals? just play the backing track through a set of headphones and sing into the mic. if it's just a bedroom demo on a 'crappy' mic through, in my opinion, flawed software like audacity then it doesn't exactly have to be a quincy jones-esque production.

logitech standard microphone. i was running it on windows vista, into audacity, srb recommended me something by sony that's supposed to run better.
i plugged the microphone in and it downloaded everything from the mic.
I'll delete audacity today, as soon as i'm finished trying out what i'm downloading.
i think that's the info for now. there will be more to come.
