I maded myself a dynacomp. Sounds very nice! For some reason it took me ages to get all the parts together, but definately worth the wait.
Have decided- solid core wire= good for switch, jack, power wiring. Stranded core wire= use this to connect boards to pots, switches. A little give is good, otherwise connections are prone to break.

In other news... green muffs just got smaller and more logoier!

That new case looks fantastic mate, really great stuff. Is that a painted case with a label glued on afterwards and then clearcoat? Very cool.
I use solid core all the way, I have never had a connection break, but you get a lot less stress support when you use PCBs as opposed to veroboard, which might be what you're suffering from? My wires go into the veroboard and then are bent at rightangles along the track and soldered flat, none have failed on me so far.
Nice work on the Dyna Comp, they are excellent sounding pedals.

Cheers. I use lazertran, which is a laser printer (colour photocopier) transfer paper, then clearcoat with enamel which breaks-down the transfer film and makes it a bit tougher.Mike wrote:Is that a painted case with a label glued on afterwards and then clearcoat?
In my hurry to get the dynacomp ready for band practice last night I forgot to adjust the trimpot, so the threshold or decay or something is a little off. Can't wait to sit down and have a proper play with it tonight. I'm also gonna get a metal can CA3080 just to satisfy my pervy curiosity.
Was having trouble with the solid core wire lifting the traces off these boards- the paper/resin boards aren't as good as the fibreglass ones I'm using now. Thankfully I didn't buy many of them.
Sweet Jesus, it would appear that not only are Tim's pedals ace, but they are an investment too - this secondhand one just went for £82.

As an owner of one of the older larger muffs, I can tell you without a doubt that Tim's got some of the best Muff out there.

lol cheers guys. I'll be onto you for a quote if I ever get round to that page of testimonials.
I made the image with a rusting MiG 21 superimposed on some soviet era apartment blocks in Warsaw. Then chucked the fredric logo and some stars on it. The colour is 'Ford Dove Grey'. I'd hate to have a car this colour!Noirie. wrote:Tasty. Btw where are the graphics from?
