glad your happy with it lamp, would you say it compare well to the MBM version mike demo'd?

I think that the stock setting sounds very much like Mike's pedal - and that's the way I've left it. Maybe down the line I'll want something with a bit more edge, but I've got the Crunch Box for higer gain stuff. Really great pedal no doubt.

Oh, it's beautiful- pedals of all sorts coming together and working side-by-side.

That furry velcro really does attract bits of shit like a bits-of-shit magnet though.

Hoover works wonders. Glad it got there and you're loving it mate. I watched the comparison video and realised I like the stock version better, but when I refin mine I'll probably add the mod toggle to the front anyway just for completeness more than anything.

I think it's a great pedal.

Glad to see it nestling next to El Crunch Box.

Yeah, it's nice to have for sure - and would certainly be cool to have the toggle on the front.
Definitely prefer it stock though.

okay first post. i'm brand spanking new here. been reading the boards for a few months now, and i decided to join up, and this question was part of the reason i signed up, so i could help you out on this one...

this is the best pedal for overdrive i have ever heard, and i have tried out a lot of different options and this is the newest addition to my pedal board as of my birthday last month....

it has a clean mix knob. it starts off dirty, and then as you turn up the clean mix, it a) starts taking the overdrive away then b) starts to put a clean guitar ON TOP of the overdrive. it is heaven in a little green box.

Clean Mix should only exist on bass drive pedals, and even then it's a bit tossy.

okay. i won't do that again, but the same two threads were running at the same time and thats what i have been using for an overdrive and i was just trying to make a suggestion...
sorry, won't happen again.

i find the clean mix works well for an overdrive if you put it right in the middle of the road.

it's not being scared of distortion, we are talking overdrive here. believe me, i wish i could play maxxed out and distorted all the time. i stand true and always will to my marshall jcm800 that i have had for 15+ years. i have tried a lot of different amps and boxes, and i just cant get a tone to match that. i'll throw something on top of it every once in awhile to get crazy noise, but i go with a clean tone through a fender, then hit the green giant for overdrive, a/b to a marshall jcm800 for real growl, then i step on a boss super distortion/feedbacker (with marshall on) to get crazy...

I just don't like the sound personally, a clean guitar riding with overdrive sounds weird to me.

I have a JCM800 too, what's yours? Pictures?

Mine is an '81 2204.

there was a pic of it back in other guitars with a tele, i'll get you a better pic later, i'm out the door in two seconds for a bus trip to nyc to see the new yankee stadium... had it since '92 and someone painted it white right before i bought it...

The clean mix thing sounds like an interesting idea, I reckon. I know a few of my favourite albums have clean guitar tracks as well as the distorted ones (in the distorted parts, I mean), and it sounds pretty great. Could be a good little pedal.
