not the most exciting purchase, but got a good deal on it. i brought an amp stand, was sick of not hearing myself when it was on the floor. looks better than the beer-crate or pub chair version.

Thanks. I bought the Holy Stain for it's Reverb (which I like much more than the Holy Grail), but I also like to use the Holy Stain's fuzz after the ModTone delay. It's tremolo mode is okay, but I rarely use this type of effect. Same goes for it's pitch shift mode. I'm not a big fan of multi-effects and the Holy Stain is far from perfect, but it's certainly usable and it's inexpensive.the isaac eaton wrote:Really nice clean board. Im interested in what you use the holy stain for though, which effect on it do you use the most?Kestrel wrote:My effects rig changes periodically, but this what I'm currently using.
The ModTones are both analogue. They were recent purchases so I decided to try them out. Not bad actually. They sound surprisingly good and are very inexpensive. I think the most expensive pedal on the board is the GigaDelay. The Devi Ever ShoeGazer I bought used so they're all very much "workman's" pedals to me.Progrockabuse wrote:welcome to the boards, kestrel. that's one nice board. curious what those two little pedals are. the little blue one next to the liquid chorus and that little orange once bottom right.Kestrel wrote:My effects rig changes periodically, but this what I'm currently using.
edit: silly me didn't use his eyes. what kinda flavor delay/chorus are they? vintage/analogue or modern/digital or hybrid?

just a quick snap of my new pedalboard. i got the kinsman in the end, one reason due to funds and the second reason it was on clearance. few sprays of spary adhesive to stick the backing down again and we're in business.
my last pedalboard was ok, but a little too small and i didn't like the tilt on it. this is a big bigger, meaning the real echo can get an outing.

i find that i can get most of the sounds i need with a little amount of gear. the jcm/plexi switch gets used a lot, classic rock sounds are plexi and modern sounds are jcm.

it's the warning sticker that is on top of a wah when you buy it new. tells you about using a power supply with the wah etc. i took the one off mine when i got it, not taken it off my new wah yet. was on there when fran gave it me.Haze wrote:its always been there but i've never asked, whats with the white strip on the wah??

Different knobs on a few pedals, and after a long jam today, [3 hours actually - Thats Stairway to Heaven 23 Times!] i decided to put the Box of Rock back on the board. I'll have to look into a DLS before too long... we'll see what happens.
Knob Switch:
I could fit 3 bronco knobs on this if i float the bias knob a bit, but it looked squished that way, Mustang knob will do for now

Have gone back to the Diago board to fit everything I want on - obviously the latest addition is the Dirty Little Secret.
Redid all my George L's this morning and it's all velcro'd. Satisfying.

weird lighting and messy on account of me having no velcro to hand so everything can slippy slide but here it is.
saltbooster > great destroyer (tgd needs to be right after the saltbooster for magic to happen) > cool cat transparent OD > behringer superfuzz > MBM harmonic percolator > cool cat fuzz > marshall supervibe > boss dd-3 > marshall reflector.
supervibe and cool cat transparent OD soon to be leaving the pedalboard.
when i get the blue box from james i might move TGD, HP, superfuzz and the blue box to like a "noisemaking" board, my treble is leaking all over the floor at the moment.
