That does sound nice. Although, he plays pretty alright and he'll no doubt be using a very nice amp.

That guy also really reminds me of Harland Williams. I half expected him to try and sell a seven minute ab's program.

haha.. not going to happen. I'm a Jaguar man now, but I'm very impressed. I think this is a great idea.

Gavin, it's a Hot Rod Deluxe, it's pretty much ubquitous and far from "nice" in my opinion. Most tube amps sound that good if you get to open them up.

it does sound really nice in that pro guitar shop demo. i think that would be the model i'd go for, you know how much i love the p90's.

that hot rod didn't sound too bad. was it just the amp or did he have toys on the floor?

wish my blues deluxe's drive channel was a little more like that.

If I had to one tele I'd be more tempted to go for the Baja you demo'd on youtube, they look and sound awesome!!

You can't really go wrong with P90s though IMO, you can out them in anything. I heard some in a strat the other day and they sounded brilliant.

The Baja is a brilliant guitar, I'm only selling mine due to the fact I'm such a monogamous idiot that I just play one guitar exclusively (the Jaguar) and it's a crime to have it just sat in a case gathering dust.

I understand that, I only have the Jazzmaster but I'm thinking of getting a squier duosonic or a tele just for the hardtail and how much simpler they are. I still love the JM but there are times when I'd rather play something less complicated.

MINDBLOWING.

(Does sound quite nice, actually...)
It blew my mind when squier did it for $229 anyway.

LOL,

so throw in $100 worth of gloss and quality control and you have a $329 guitar with a $1k price tag.

I'm not saying the price is justified, just that the pickups and neck are far better.

And we're not talking gloss. I'm talking profile.

IIRC some of the people who played the Squiers said that they nearly took their finger off on the jaggy frets.

Dig those new Fender w/black dove tones indeed.

And along those lines (heads up for Proggy and P90 fans)...I got the Kent Armstrongs installed in Emily G310, and did a crummy little demo for you to enjoy. The grandma downstairs always complains of her heart condition whenever she comes up to yell at me for cranking the Pro Junior volume anywhere past 9:00, so low-volume jamming will have to suffice. As in other demos of mine, I strangely say "here" waaaay more than necessary and seem to have Canadian Touretts Syndrome, but you'll get the gist.

P90 on plywood for ya, not too off topic. Apologies to Mew fans everywhere:

mike you usually make so much sense, but in this case you are flat out wrong. Do you think that as fickle as I am with gear i would have kept a guitar for three years if it had shit pickups or a shit neck? I'm really sorry you played a shit unit, I'll admit squier has poor quality control, but I got a great one.

Haha, different is the word.

Funny to mention, as I had told Cindi that we'd have a better load of tones ditching Emily for a Epiphone '56 like yours, and she gave me heck for even thinking about it. $160 later (if you include the pickguard), it's very usable and will hopefully see a lot of years ahead of us. And thanks (Mike) if those comments were directed at my messing around and not Aen's. I couldn't quite tell, cause in reality I just have a few riffs in my pocket and not your skillz! Heheheh.
