Great demo Mike.. I like it... a lot !!
good to hear a direct comparison... think the ocd sounds a little more open which I like.
DLS's a has dryer marshally tones...
I'm gonna keep saving my pennies !!
Yeah, the OCD is a lot more bassy, but I think has less of the range of the DLS, which can do low-gain to medium gain so well (and sounds really close to the real thing to me), the OCD is more of a one-trick (full bore overdrive) pony to me, but it does that trick well.
Does the dls "retain the low end" like all the boutique/tool playing bass folk make such a big fuss about? Or is that not so much a problem with overdrives as it is with fuzz?

mike's right, bottom end is really nice of the DLS. it's really balanced my amp nicely, as it tends to be quite bright.
a few mates thought i was playing through a marshall and then saw my little fender tweed.
great demo mike, that's gonna get a lot of action at doogfest
