yeah, that's what i was thinking...it's the MIM Strat that I'm still trying to sell...or thinking about selling...or LOL...whatever.BobArsecake wrote:Hmm, what guitar is it you're on about? I don't think there will be another. Best bet to identify age without that is to open it up and check the pickups, body or neck heel and or pocket.
You want to buy it?

i just realized that since it was refin'd and the serial # was sanded off the headstock i need to figure out how to confirm to whomever bought it that is indeed from the fabled Fender "Squier Series" line that are exactly the same as MIM Standard Strats. LOL...and i of course replaced the PUPs, pots and pickguard...so maybe the neck pocket or the neck butt (lol) will have a stamp? it's been awhile since I took it apart...so who knows?

Sometimes MIMs have a sticker in the body route somewhere too, but if it's a refin probably gone or painted over.
Plus that could be a part number... i've never had an MIM factory-paired neck and body together.

my guess is it's gone too...the more i learn about this line, the more i'm amazed by it...american necks and bodies shipped to ensenada to have cheaper hardware and PUPS installed...no wonder it plays and feels so nice.paul_ wrote:Sometimes MIMs have a sticker in the body route somewhere too, but if it's a refin probably gone or painted over.
