I am truely boggled shortscale...

Today whilst i was replacing a jack for my friend on his mim fender strat. i took the jack out, put it aside. took the new jack soldered in. job done.
i so i picked up the jack and looked at it and noticed that the jack which was never been replaced before and when i looked at the jack it said...

now shortscale, why would a fender guitar, never tampered with have an epiphone jack in it?

Noobs. Obviously it was an epiphone guitar and they had a guitar problem so the store replaced the guitar. Elementary my dear watson.

If he bought it new within the past year or so, he should take it back to the shop for a refund. The shop mis-sold it if they sold it as all original.

he bought it all og a few years ago. and when his little brother fucked it up we needed a new nut for the jack. There was no nut that would fit this thing i swear to god, so he was playing it without a strat jack cup, and the wires came loose.
so i replaced the jack and saw it.

what boggles me, is he ordered it online on the gc website. he didn't buy it in a store, and it had the epiphone jack.
