Boss DS-1 as a boost/ overdrive?

Post by Flipper »

Ok, so i ordered a Proco RAT as suggested by some people on here, and since i have nothing to do with my DS-1 now, i figured since i thas a decent amount of volume boost, maybe i could run it through my RAT and EHX small clone as a booster. (RAT will be my main distortion) Does anyone know how this could possibly work out, and what order i should put those 3 in. thanks.

Before main Dist = more distortion
After main Dist = volume boost for solos

It makes a pretty good boost if you remove the clipping diode.

x] yea, it sounds kind of stupid even to me, but i found a col vintage one, and i watched a couple of videos of some rats on youtube, and i like the way they sound a lot better than my DS-1
