Aye, I thought it was cool too. I love me some Paisley.Mityushikha wrote:I just want to say that I really liked what Sparky and his girlfriend did with those guitars and pickguards. Painting paisley on them isn't that extreme anyway, is it? At least he didn't finish it in burnt stained blue or bookmatched flame maple...
Anyone know about ST George guitars?

watching shit blow up here is crazy sometimes... I think hotrod's dry sense of humor comes across too dry sometimes and people feel insulted... then they lash back and he gets defensive and then it's a shit storm when originally it was mostly likely an off the cuff quip with no harm intended that went south. That being said, hotrod's original advice was spot on. If you do not have $50 lying around, this is not the guitar to spend $50 you don't have on. Some guitars are worth a bit of debt, Teisco's are not. But if you have the spare cash, they make really fun projects.
Additionally... I find it amusing that my teisco project was inspired by Sparky's project and I got the teisco from no other than... Hotrod. Circle of life and all.

touchy touchy. sorry, i wasn't trying to call anyone out. i think it's ugly, i'm sorry if that offends anyone.
sparky: really, i'm sorry. i didn't realize your feelings would be hurt by my comments, but that's pretty silly that you love the 'douchebag' card so much. check it: it's my opinion, i thought i was entitled to it, but you're right, i should've not said anything. i didn't mean it to be insluting, srsly. but i didn't call you any names.
i forget sometimes with all those damn purists running around, i shant be so frank.
in my defense, in the other thread, i did say the univox was fucking hard ass.
back to my OG point: gaybear, don't buy that shit if you don't have $50 to spend. i'm not discouraging you, i'm just saying, why would you spend that money on a 'cheap' guitar, if you don't even have it?
EDIT: ends. dead on per usual.
