i really really enjoyed those. the music is amazing, and her vocals compliment very well.
if you have a demo cd or something of that nature i would be very interested in obtaining one.

gracias for watching, and thanks all for the comments :)

@Mike, next time I'm going to wear just a scarf...

@robert(original) - There's an EP we're getting pressed at the moment, though the tracks on it are a bit older and we keep trying to decide how much to sell it for, depending on inlays, photos etc... see website for info, or try the last.fm page, which has the EP and new recordings on there. The new stuff will eventually be re-recorded properly (strings, accordions etc) and an album put out around it, just a case of getting time to do it. Thinking iTunes and Spotify in the mean-time?

@anyone commenting on technique - May have had classical training a while ago: still end up playing steel-string fingerstyle in the same way, which is no bad thing really.

@bubbles - Close: it's an octave mandolin, tuned the same as a mandolin (4 double courses of GDAE) but an octave lower. It's nice though since the tone isn't as piercing as the mandolin, and because the frets/neck are wider I can get away with using a capo...

Keep an eye out though - there's loads more that we want to do...

thanks for watching!

we've got a set of ultra-bland cheese sandwich jazz (norah jones etc...) for weddings and stuff, but that's the only thing that's paid for now... will keep uploading as and when we can - lot of people seem to like it which is no bad thing :D

How do you get onto Spotify anyway? If you want I can start doing searches for your band, knowing full well that they won't be there, but then the people at Spotify will think there's a demand for youse. Also, if you were on Spotify I would listen to you in the background a lot if you were to be paid on a per listen basis.

i think you just contact spotify and ask if you can submit your tracks, but obviously you need to be set up for MCPS and PRS and stuff. also, i think certain brokers will place your tracks on various online outlets for a fee, spotify being one of them.

there are a few digital distributors that can get you on Spofity, iTunes, 7digital, amazon, last.fm etc in one package, just depends how much you want to pay out initially or in the long-run. The two we've looked into are dittomusic and recordunion - ditto look as if they charge per release: so upload an EP - they charge you. Upload a track two weeks later, they charge you. Album two weeks later? They charge you. Record Union don't charge per upload, but the percentage they take when you make a sale are higher. Then again 30% of nothing is still nothing.

On top of that (UK at least), PPL need to be notified for radio plays (and you need to be a member if you want any performance rights), ISRC's for digital downloads and CD sales etc. Last.fm and Spotify are doing a good job of screwing artists over for radio plays and album sales at the moment, so although the music might be able to be released, it still seems better to get your CD's mastered and pressed yourself if you want to make any capital out of it...
