Mods?
Seymour Duncan Antiquity Neck Humbucker
Fender CS NoCaster bridge pickup
Custom wiring (humbucker is cut off from the tone-knob and switch runs different variations, think of an Esquire... on crack.)

And here she is next to my Jag :) She'll keep the same aesthetics, though having a love-hate relationship with the tuners may increase my likelihood of getting Gotoh white-tip tuners (had them in my old Jag, worked superbly).

They both recently got setups done to them and I couldn't be happier. The switches turned out to be faulty and I don't know what Aen did but there was a bit of work... not that I'm complaining :P

Hmm, must have been shitty switches, all I did was flip them upside down so I didn't knock anything into silence while picking.

Both the Telecaster and Jaguar are beautifully colors (Aen refinished it?...I do recall him posting a pic of a pink jag on offsetguitars). Do you still get to blend the bridge and humbucker in the middle position?

It is FUCKING fantastic. I love the Jag but I haven't been able to put the Telecaster down since the new pickups. I've had probably 10-15 guitars in the past and played a bunch more and I have to say this Telecaster, which was my #1 from the get go, is definitely the best sounding and playing instrument I've had the pleasure of owning. The guitar was "spruced up" after I put it together by James Cargill, son of Jim Cargill. Anyone from Melbourne aught to know this guy, flipping absolute genius when it comes to setups and guitar knowledge. He even knew stuff about my Larrivee NO techs seem to know...

Anyway, needless to say I'm stoked. As for the wiring? I really don't like spilling the beans on electronics but think Esquire on crack + straight to jack for the humbucker + boost circuit as per push/pull.

Electronics are really the only place I feel I can have my own little creative input into. I can't wind pickups, I can't build amps... so wiring guitars and crazy attempts at subtle changes are what I'm all about :P

well, it's just that the esquire switch setup isn't really compatible with a guitar with 2 pickups. how would one of the pickups not end up being permanently high passed? I guess I wasn't really asking about the wiring so much as, what does the switch do?

WHY did you blackguard that tele
Was one of my favourite teles on shortscale too.
I love my Nocaster pickup i have in my tele and have been thinking about getting an antiquity for the neck aswell, but undecided as a WRHB is also an option.

Looks fantastic but i think it would look even better with a white guard and no pickup ring

It's a modified variation of this I found on the internets:

End result? Sounds great and highly recommended.

Thanks dude :)
Yeah I was tossing whether to do it with the white guard or not but I didn't like it when we propped it up pre-routing.
Also tried it without the cover and with the cover looked x10 better too. Also, believe it or not I had a cream switch tip + white guard + cream pickup ring and the black STILL won out...

It's my #1 as far as I'm concerned. I'm glad I finally have my setup tight after 5 years of playing. The Jag/anything extra is just for kicks really :)

Why so secrective about the wiring? What do you gain from not telling us what the positions on the switch do?
Anyway, would look better without the pup ring and looked WAY sexier with the white guard imo.

Hey man if you dig it that's way cooler to me than what everyone else thinks. I'll definately end up doing something like this when I have some money to toss around.

So secretive? I wouldn't go so far as to say that. It's not like I waned away from the topic, I happily gave a brief overview.
I think circuit-sharing on the internets is all good and fun but when you believe you've come up with something somewhat original I tend to NOT want to share it.
Place the blame on the likes of Danelectro, lawl.
