I actually experimented with this the other day. Still sounded shit. My amps speckle in enough post pedal dirt as is, to my ears dirt->delay is the way to go.

Delay before dirt works for me. If i do it the other way around and turn on other pedals then the other pedals just sound so flat and dull, all the drives loose their life, they sound so boring and disgusting. maybe it works in other set ups but for me everything sound horrid, Delay before dirt just sounds the best for me.

I think it might have to do with the cyber twin, its such a bizarre amp, I have mine set clean all the time and then just use pedals, but it only likes certain pedals, some pedals sound better through my Princeton then the cyber twin, maybe its because the cyber twin is a hybrid amp. I don't know but however the cyber twin wants me to set up my pedals then i shall set them up that way.

Doesn't bother me none, i just want to be able to tap tempo easily and with the giant board i can experiment with many different organizations.

Thanks! I try and keep everything tidy. I really haven't had the chance to play it yet due to today being super busy. But I will hopefully demo it tomorrow and write up a hefty review once I get to know it

initial impressions are great. There are some things that I don't like about it and there are things that I love about it

definite improvement, i feel more comfotabble doing POWER STROKES 'cause the low E isn't moving anywhere. plus a lot less rattle.
i only had to adjust the inonation on the low E too, the rest was spot on. lovely.

I do have a lot of dirt boxes, and i do use all of them equally, But i don't have an octave fuzz yet. That's the last piece of the dirt puzzle i need. I was thinking about one of these, or a fender blender clone.

Yes, 100 times over. Octave fuzzes are great, and the French Toast is a great octave fuzz.

Okay, I'm brand spanking new to this place. Found it due to seeing it mentioned on the Fredric Effects site (I believe I own the first MKII version of the Grumbly Wolf). Thought the best way to get going would to be to post a pic of my pedal setup (sans cables), 'cos I'm a geek; a pedal geek. Here it is:

Chain goes: Telecaster > Dano TOD > Fredric Effects Grumbly Wolf > DS-1 > Behringer VD400 > EHX Big Muff > DD6 > EHX Small Stone > Whatever amp I can beg steal or borrow at a gig. All used in the band in my sig.
