It's a 1974.Came from the original owner.It's in pretty good condition except for some minor play wear and some finish checking on the back.It's all original except for the case.I only played it a little at the store and I haven't played it plugged in at home yet(my girlfriend is sleeping)I don't plan to flip this guitar.It's much too cool.

wow. interesting thread. i, too, located the whereabouts of my old sunburst tele custom (mij re-issue prolly 1993-ish) while i was away on vacation and it is being shipped back towards my way this week. weird.

Well, it's tricky to get the fucking wires to go where they belong, but the actual solder work is simple. Between RobertOG and myself, we clipped both pickup leads trying to put the sonofabitch together.

I've always wanted to get the squier custom (really a deluxe) and convert it into a proper custom. the tele custom is one of my favorite guitars ever............
