nah, they shouldn't have to rebuild it if there's a decent 300dpi image file, they'll just drop that in. it's only in case something screws up, they can replace any wonky part of it with the source files. sometimes printers and print software do odd things for no apparent reason, it's just a safeguard. and sometimes rasterised text can look shit when it's scaled up or down, so it can help to have the source font. depends what software they use.
