it depends if you actually see yourself using them and if you like that garagey rock type sound that these seem to have. I wouldn't run to buy them thinking of flipping them or anything. By the time you count gas, time, and effort to do so it would probably be a wash. If you want to get a funky guitar and take the risk that there are major problems with it then go for it. I would make sure before you drove over there that the guy will hold it for you until you get there though. I have gotten burned twice on long drives that were sold while I was on the way even though they knew I was coming.

Thanks for the advice. I'm mostly interested in the amp, though I really like those old guitars as well. It wouldn't be to flip. I'd like to see what I could do with them. Just wondering if the time, gas and $100 is a good "price" for the package.
By the way, I probably posted this in the wrong forum...not sure if it's a shortscale.
I am also not sure if transistor means tube or solid state. Of course I am not an electronics person. I wouldn't be too excited for a 60's or so solid state amp.
For 100 it seems like a good deal, but with 2-3 hours of time and gas included it all comes down to how much extra cash you have and what you want to sepnd it on.

yeah, i'd stay away. the amp is probably worthless in both value and utility. and, while teisco did make some decent guitars, that's probably not one of them. expect a really bowed neck the size of a baseball bat with no intonation.
depends on your goals, but i think it could be worth it for shits and giggles at 70-80 bucks. good fun studio sorta situations. prolly not as a player.
