Converting JagMaster into JagStelloMaster

Basically the idea is:

-Strip the sunburst off the guitar
-Stain it dark walnut
-Probably replace the pickguard for a tort guard, should i be able to find a decent tort jagmaster guard, otherwise, it'll be a deviation from its inspiration
-put strat style knobs on tone and volume pot
-change out toggle-tip
-change out trem arm
-replace bridge with "upgraded" strat bridge
-try to find Jazzy-ish pup covers for the HBs currently in the guitar
-matching headstock

So it'll be a take on the Elvis Costello Jazzmaster, without changing the fundamentals of the Jagmaster too much...mostly a cosmetic overhaul

I'm in the midst of this now and will post pics when it's done.

what colour is the guard on it now?

as i'd swap you guards, for the tort on my jagmaster
i might actually then decide to keep the thing if it didn't have tort.

it's black...i want to see what it looks like with the black guard first...my problem is that i'm not a huge fan of the tort guard that comes standard with jagmasters...BUT can you take a pic, or point me towards one, of yours? maybe yours is a good one?

i did it dude. already. it was a fucking CUNT and my fingers were numb for an hour and a half afterwards, and there was all kinds of fucking sawdust/paint dust...but it's done and the first coat of stain has been applied. this will be fucking rad.
