Finished the Telecaster Deluxe Clone! w/ pics

Post by dawnofzion »

Well I finally finished my Telecaster deluxe clone. I had my brother, who is a photographer, take some decent pics of it.

Just a quick recap of what it is made of...

The body is ReRanch Translucent orange over Ash (and it is heavy as hell).
The neck is Paduak with Maple Board and Maple skunk stripe.
Inlays are MOP with paduak rings around the dots.
Headstock decal says 'Teleclone Deluxe'
GFS vintage split pickups.
It plays and sounds great! These vintage sounding pickups sound great through my Rocker 30!

This one I was just goofing around.

You did a great job staining the body to match the necks natural colour. Very nice job

Very nice! It took me a few looks to realise/take in that it's got a maple fretboard.

That's amazing.

When the Shortscale awards come around, I suspect I know where my vote for project of the year is going.

The neck, what radius is it? Looks pretty flat.

That neck looks great. I'm just now remembering about the inlays.

You should put all the build pics in this thread too.

One of the best projects I've ever seen, the red circles around the neck inlays just makes it so much better.

I love that you Slabbed it rather than Contoured it. It looks classy as hell.

Didn't notice that, the top looks flat though. Actually come to think of it, I don't know if a Tele Deluxe has a forearm contour or not, even though I owned one.

Ignoreme.
