I'm not a fan of most bursts (especially with pickguards), but that rocks.

Fuck the haters. Use whatever damn amp you want.

I use a $70 10W Orange SS amp because, honestly, it sounds and works better for me than anything else I've tried. EVAR.

Picked up the body today. Matt was a pretty classy dude. THIS GUITAR IS LITE AND GREEN!!! Honestly, super light body, it should sound very interesting when it's all done. I'll have to sand off the primer and get to the finishing work, we've decided on the silverburst with a black guard.

i will most definitly apologize on that, i overcharged matt in the first place and that neck pocket is, or rather was the right one but worn really badly and i just hadn't paid much attention, it started out too small(ask cowey) then it was fine for about 90% but there were at least 3 jazzy's that got the raw end of the deal on a worn ass neck temp.
send it my way, give me your paypal, i will pay shipping both ways and make a new neck pocket, i know i still have the one that mo made and his came out pretty damn nice. and its only been used once so its still a master(grade)
how many mm's are there between the bottom of the fretboard and the top of the body??? there should be like 4-5

it could be the guitar neck, as i believe it was designed for something with a bit more space between the neck and the neck pup.

but wow i never even saw that overlap.

the size of the heal itself should be about the same if not exactly the same, the overlap does go into the neck pup cavity area which is.... less that desirable but it may be worked around, perhaps, depending.

I'm surpised Gibson is doing that finish again after they discontinued cause of all the complaints back in the late 70's and early 80's.

Image

I wonder if Adam Jones of Tool had anything to do with it

The reissued silverburst finish looks like shite imo...
