I've only played the Swinger. Apart from many years ago at Uni, around 1974, when I met a guy who'd just brought back from the USA an old Jaguar he picked up in a pawn shop for $50, and I don't remember how it played. Must try something else.

I always see your avatar as a green majiuana leaf on a black background on first glance and get the urge to berate you for being a pathetic stoner.

Says more about me than you, evidently.

For it's looks:
Mid 60's Musicmasters.

For it's versatility:
The current Jagmasters

Overall:
Jaguar

Mustang, but that choice is based purely on the fact that it's the only shortscale I own :P

It started with the Jazzmaster (which I know is not shortscale) Then the Jagmaster

I have to agree with Haze and the Super Sonic crowd. I would love a bone stock SuperSonic (Blue Sparkle or White), though I would take it any color.

The Squier Duo Sonic is my current obsession. I hope to add a Classic Player Jaguar HH (I love all the togglies) in the near future

I also toyed with the idea of a Warmoth Jag-stang (contoured body) as a possible project.

Jaguar/Super Sonic for me then.
J Mascis Jazzmaster | AVRI Jaguar | Tuxedo-stang |Fender Toronado GT |
Squier FSR Sparkle Jaguar | Squier CV Mustang |1971 Fender Bronco| Baja Telecaster |

I've had loads of short scales over time but the Jaguar has remained the firm favourite.
