so i've routed out the pickguard and a bit of the body underneath to fit two Seymour Duncan quarter-pounder Jazzmaster pickups.
Guitar- £110
Pickups - £30 + £50
Total cost - £190
i can't afford the time/hassle/cost of getting it resprayed in white at the moment, but after fitting the pickups i feel far less embarassed about the silver sparkle

i was expecting to use the white witch-hat knobs with the white finish but i'm not sure if they stand out too much now.. what do you think? i have some black witch hats on the way aswell to compare.. my tele will get whatever's left over.

I couldn't be happier with the sound i'm getting. neck pickup is ballsy and really punchy.. bridge is jangly, both pickups on is sonic gold. lovely percussive, even sound that is godly.
for less than £200 i've got the Jazzmaster sounds i've wanted for ages, but with a nicer feeling neck and blocked off trem. job's a good 'un!
