[DEAL] Guitar Center: 20ft Cable + 10 Sets of strings -$40

Post by Sloan »

Was at a Guitar Center today and thought this was a pretty good deal for $39.99:

$39.99

It's one of the cables with the switch on one end so you can mute it or whatever.

THE BREAKDOWN

20' Planet Waves cable = $34.99
10 pack of D'Addario strings - $39.99

SAVINGS = $34.99

This is shit your gonna need anyway, so stock up!

Here's a similar deal with a different Planet Waves cable:

I buy bulk 10+ packs of strings for backups and use Elixirs as my main strangs.

That's a good deal. It would be better if they had other strings there too, but I suppose 10's are what most people use.

wish they had deals like that over here. works out at like £24 quid. you could barely get five sets for that, let alone 10 sets and a decent cable.

Those Planet waves switching cables are shit. They don't switch "on" in some guitars. Watched someone try to use one at a gig when borrowing someone elses equipment and it was painfully dumb.

Since when has plugging a guitar in to an amp been a problem that needs to be solved? My Jaguar can already fuck me up with it's pickups being off, fuck this noise aswell.

main little niggle with my tele is that i can't use my angled jack on it. the cup is too deep for it. it's one of those leem hot lines

lol tr00

ever gone to strum that big, loud chord at that precise moment when the band is supposed to all come in rockin and look like the biggest, most inaudible tool with your guitar switched completely off? more times than i'd like to admit, i'm afraid.

I agree, but it's a nice thick cable and THE CABLE ENDS ARE SOLDERLESS, SO YOU CAN JUST UNSCREW THEM OFF LIKE GEORGE L'S AND DO WHATEVER THE FUCK U WANT.

Besides, most people spending 20+ quid on a guitar lead will have a pedal tuner to mute the signal with.Or at least have the common sense to turn the amp down or put it onto standby when changing guitars.

Still a KILLAH DEAL, SLONE!!
