no updates as of yet.. still have no 24 3/4" scale neck.
but it does need a different paint job..

You can salvage that. Spray red heavy all around the edge where the tape line is working a small section at a time. Let the red run into the black so it looks like blood, all dripping into the center of the guitar.

I'd chemically strip it down to bare wood. Fill it with black oil base grain filler (depends on the wood). Spray a wash coat of sealer or clear... what ever ya want. Then mix some stain with clear coat. If you don't have a spray rig, you can use a preval they are $8 at local shops. Spray the stained clear over the wash coat... this keeps the dye from soaking into the wood and not into the epoxy. Basically your staining the wash coat, not the wood itself.

Preval, it's a propellant can with a jar that screws into it. You can spray anything you want with it. Just have to thin the mix right to get it to spray good. I used to use them until I got a compressor & hvlp gun.
