Fender Jaguar possible Purchase

Post by grandnoise »

Got a guy bringing round a white Jag with red pickguard tomorrow, he wants £300 for it, I've not owned a jag (or anything like one) before first of all if in good nick like he says what is this worth in £, I'm going to try it out with my amp and see what I like about it, is there anything I should watch out for/be aware of?

Cheers Short Scalers, jimbo

£300 seems like a steal, considering i saw a jagstang going for a £325 IN AN ACTUAL REAL LIFE SHOP.

If it's in good nick then £300 is a decent price for a CIJ Jaguar.

Yeh, sound like a deal. Mine cost £360 and it had a chip on it.

They're pretty solid, pickups might warrant being changed (I actually like the neck pup !!), other than that check the usual, neck / frets, switches, dents, etc etc... anything you do find might get you an even better deal. As long as its not a complete dog you should easily get your money back if not more.

O RLY? I'd buy that JS for that.
£300 is generally good for teh Jag, i sold a CAR model for £280 which was grim and i picked up a Burgundy Mist for £300 w/hardcase. The prices fluctuate similar to the JS.

Yeah, my Jag-Stang was modified to hell and I only got £280 as a result.

That bastard guitar was worth at least £350.

Great condition no nicks or scratches that I have found yet, and an awesome gig bag a well.

Sounds great, might change the pickups eventually for something with a little tighter bass
