Can Mustang switches fit in the jag rhythm roller spaces?

Painting? Routing? Set-up tips? Or just straight-up making a guitar from scratch? Post here, and post pics!

Can Mustang switches fit in the jag rhythm roller spaces?

Post by Justyn »

I ask because I have a Jaguar HH and while I the the coil splits that are already on there are alright, I am considering putting Prails in the guitar

I figure with the mustang 3 way switches I could get most of the sounds out of the pickups without too much bother.

Stupid idea? Will they fit?

That sounds like a great idea to me! I get MOST of the sounds that are possible in my prails tele but that mod should give you full access to the great pickups

Its not really my idea. I just remember a jazzmaster form when I was lurking on offset that had something like that. I think.

There were some Jags posted that had 3 Burns tri-sonics in them and also had the sliders in the roller plate (typing sliders and rollers made me hungry).

Oh yeah, THAT guy.

I never noticed the switches.

Yeah I think I'll do it, but I don't wanna mess up the stock control plate.

Will the spares fender sell fit on this MIM jag?

You could maybe dremel the switches thinner so that they'd fit. Not sure if their construction would allow that though. Looking at the slots on my jag they shouldn't need too much thinning out. It'd be a hell of a lot easier and more reversable than filing out the control plate.
