Well after being a uni bum for the first 6 months of the year I got a job and being used to not spending any money I saved up a heap in a few months and went a little crazy buying a;
Diago Powerstation
EHX Cathedral
Pedal Train Pro pedal board
and a Musicomlab EFX MKII Audio Controller
all within 3 weeks
Now all i need to do is set it up all nice and neat and I need a crap load of patch cables as now each pedal requires a send and return cable into the EFX MKII.
I was thinking of using Lava cable patch leads as they're a little cheaper than George L's and just buy a huge set of right angle connectors on ebay (about half the price than in my local music shop) then just go in a buy the Lava cable from the shop as it's basically the same price, also this way I can work out how much I need and get it all sorted out on the spot. And as I bought the pedaltrain and EFX MKII they should (and most likely will) help me set it up if they're not too busy.
Should I just cough up the money for decent patch leads or just go and buy some more cheap ones and get it done.
I have a feeling if I don't get it set up properly at the start I probably never will.
At the same time I've spent more money in the past few weeks then I made for most of last year...
Help me shortscale!

George L's are great regardless - I move them about all the time and never have a problem, as long as you make a good connection in the first place.Haze wrote:George L's are great if you don't move them about much
Anyway, in answer to your question, don't just get a bunch of cheap patch cables if you can afford not to, good ones really do make a world of difference.
