Looks much better white.I'll never paint a guitar white again unless I have a spray booth.I took me 3 months of painting, sanding, repainting ad nauseum....to get it almost perfect.

You should spray lacquer in many, many thin coats to get an even finish, you're not going to be able to polish that out. It looks like the difference in height is too extreme.

Finishing a guitar takes a lot of time and patience.

ReRanch stuff sprays and lays down flat... I feel like a trainer when I use that stuff "stay"... "now lay down flat".

Deft lacquer is a lab dog, it does what ever the hell it wants to do. Doesn't lay flat.

I guess it's all in the mix... retarded, solvents and sh*t.

Your post made it seem like you laid clear in a day. A day is not enough time to lay enough coats.

You should also do like Joey says and spray with the body flat horizontal, screws in neck pocket etc. Takes longer as you have to flip the body every day or so but you get a much higher quality finish.

The lacquer makes it look edible, what flavour is it?

Have you tried licking it yet? I would have by now for sure ... mmm red flavour :P

nah, it was sprayed over about a week from primer to lacquer. yeah i sprayed it flat as i usually do. quite therapeutic. :D

it is only upright like that as that is how i store it overnight. once the paint is touch dry it won't run.
