Fuzz Factory Tones

Post by willlin »

Hey all.

A friend just lent me his Fuzz Factory which is really cool, but I'm struggling to find a really useable tones in it, only crazy oscillation madness. Any users got recommendations for cool tones?

First post so be gentle with me... :D

That’s the answer most men who become social workers give as the reason for their career choice (perks of the job)

If you're looking for a standard Fuzz sound to start with, use these settings:

Comp, Gate - Off
Drive, Stab - Full

And volume to taste.

Comp will add softness to the attack when increased and eventually splattiness
Gate adds splatty/velcro nature as you increase it.
Decreasing Stab makes oscillations occur.

That's pretty much it.

i don't understand people buying pedals and not being able to find fun settings themselves.
why do you wanna copy someone else's setting ? i don't get it.
don't be so lazy, mess around and find your own, setting, your own sound etc, it's more fun that way.

This.

When I got my fender blender from mike it started driving me crazy because I couldn't recreate certain sounds with it. So I put it away for a while, then I decided to just spend a few hours finding "my" sound with it. And I did, this crazy airplane taking off fuzz that's different then anything I've ever heard before. Now it's my go to pedal for trebley dirt while my Thunder is my go to for bassey dirt. I couldn't live without either.

I'm not really interested in 'copying' someone else sound, it's just a new pedal to me (with seemingly endless sounds) and I was interested in seeing what anyone else gets from it.

I don't think there's a setting on a Fuzz Factory that I don't absolutely love. It may be the perfect fuzz for me, and I know many don't feel the same way, but I love it. The possibilities are endless. The info posted already is a great starting point. The best is to just play around with it a ton, but having suggestions definitely helps you find a starting point.
