Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

what is this Epiphone?

I know I've seen them mentioned before, but a search on google hasn't really been helpful.

My friend got it for free from a neighbor. Sounds/feels kinda like a poor man's Mustang or Jazzmaster/Jaguar with the bridge construction.

yeah that's it.

there seems to be some confusion about the switch and the pickups. Are they p90s or just weird single coils? is the switch a bass cut or a bass boost? (doubt it's a boost, since there's no active electronics. seems to be a bass cut like the jaguar has)

i'd actually never seen it before.
i went on some very tenuous "hey an obscure epiphone that looks a bit like a mustang. kurt loved mustangs and played an obscure epiphone, maybe that's it".

i kinda like how it looks, save for the bridge.

I had one years ago, i never took it apart, but im pretty sure the pickups were just singles coils which sounded pretty good.
That switch is a bass cut, kinda like whats on the Jaguars.

i kinda like the bridge. it's different, but still a bit classy.
