I did that on the MM that Matthoj just got. It's sweet.

I don't need no stinking tone! A coil tap would be cool though, but I'm willing that the pickup in there would sound well poo poo tapped.

You say that now, but once you have a single push/pull vol/tone pot installed you will have infinite fun dicking around with it. You have separate pots for vol and tone and you dime both; but with just one it is a blast. You can't stop fucking with it.

Literally have played this thing probably more than any other guitar I own since getting it. I keep it at work and practice during downtime.
