you still get full delay time on all settings. the maxim is 1000ms using the time dial and 5800ms using the tap tempo switch. can't believe how good it sounds. really warm and tape like on the vintage/lo-fi mode and pristine clean repeats on the modern mode. self oscillates amazingly well, really musical.

it was just sat there and i couldn't believe the price. there around 130-160 new. this was 2nd hand, though you wouldn't know it, the protective stuff and box is intact.

i cancelled it as a local shop had memory boys on the cheap. when i went to order the memory boy, it had gone up in price.

was going to buy james trex delay, but couldn't really stretch that far.

thats poor luck on the memory boy. [depending on your needs] i would say you got into the right pedal. tap tempo, analogue mode and long delays.
you probably picked it up cheaper than a dd3 too, lucky duck you

£99 nearly new. really is mint condition.

the memory boy is a nice pedal, but i couldn't be bothered to hunt one down to try out.

i like the tap tempo, something i missed from my echo park. not really fussed about modulated delay sound and didn't need looper functions. though you could kinda loop a little with the max delay times. it's like a DD-3 on steroids for less than most local shops are charging for a DD-3

fortunately, the satch logo is only on the back of the pedal so i can't see it.

when i tried it in the shop, they gave me an ibanez jem to try it with. never played such a horrible feeling guitar. there was nothing to the neck and it sounded cold and dead. asked to try the classic vibe strat in white/gold plate. the neck is really nice, i think they've addressed the anemic neck issue. this one had a nice tint a little like my strat.

You should have handed the JEM back immediately. And also demand a price cut on the pedal for offending you.

Then you should have told them you had very specific orders from your doctor not to make yourself look a massive fucking dick.

I almost bought this pedal, I was trying it out in the store the same day i got my DL4, really great delay and it has tap tempo! I really liked the oscillation sounds on this pedal, what do you think?

the oscillation is really nice, it's very controllable. switching between modern and vintage changes the oscillation from a glitchy digital style (modern) to a proper analogue style mind bending (vintage). both very musical and usable. you can set the feedback on maximum, then use the tap tempo to quickly change from looper esq stuff to full on self oscillation. kinda like a basic version of the twist option on a Boss RE-20

i think the main selling point apart from the excellent sound and features was the price. getting £160 worth of pedal for £99 was well worth it.

to be fair, i've sold a fair bit of gear. time to reward with this lol

also, thought of you today fran. they had a TS7 in cash converters for 24 quid. good condition too.
