move springs down.
then take cigar tube down as far as possible, but leave about 1 mm gap between string and bridge plate.
tune it up, stretch the strings, wham the hell out of the reverb handle, repeat this 2 more times and youre done.

how does i upload to geardemos?
i made that right after about 3 people starting whining about it never staying intune, and in reality.
it takes less time than a floyd, less knowledge, less tools, and it really takes about the same time to set up a strat trem properly(and yeah, im counting the amount of time it takes to take off the trem plate and put it back on)

I'm having a hell of a time setting up my CIJ Mustang trem.
Whenever I use the Mustang (CIJ) trem it doesn't bounce back to the original position. It's as if the springs don't have enough tension. My old vintage Mustangs always seemed to stay in tune and the springs bounced back to their original position when using the trem.

When you say "move the springs down", do you mean move them down the shaft away from the base plate?
Should I replace the springs as well?

no need to replace the springs.
just move them down the shaft, away from the base plate/towards the back of the guitar.
and then increase the break angle over the bridge by tightening the cigar tube down towards the base plate.
and presto, you done-0-
what strings are you using tho? im using 11-56 on my stuff, but i have had 10-46 and jazz flat wounds on my j.s. and the trem didn't need much tweaking between sets.

Robert, I saw your video on youtube and I was very pleased with it. Most people are clueless when it comes to setting these trems up.
