I use my Marshall at home more now, but my Fender is an acoustic amp and I have gigged with it more.

I voted Marshall based on what I am doing right now

Fender Bassman 10 converted to a head through a Marshall cab. I've since changed over to a 212.

i mostly play my Peavey Deuce live, but i play a fender at home, so voted Fender, mostly cause i'd only use a marshall for punk or ACDC rock.

i think Apples and Oranges is a perfect thread title though.

well, except there's no Orange amps discussed

Marshall is trailing way behind, which is a surprise to me.
I thought there were more of you out there.

Either that or Marshall owners don't like poll threads.

fender hot rod deluxe, and the musicmaster will be getting its debut live airing on friday. i've never really got on with marshalls for some reason, not sure why.

i know a lot of people hate HRDs, but i got mine for a very acceptable price (£300 delivered to my door!), and i needed an amp quickly at that point. it sounds fine on the clean channel, which is all i use.

if i was going to get something different i'd consider a vox AC30, i've always liked them. i'd have to employ someone to carry it though, they're fucking hefty.

I have always said for £300 it is a good amp.

For £549 or £649 (their current retail) it is a fucking rip off.

main one for guitar is orange rocker through ampeg bass cab

not into marshall and fender amps but leaning towards fender (bassman) because the cleans on all marshalls i've played through so far they lack what a good fender amp has.
