I've seen one of those guitars in person somewhere. I think perhaps a NAMM style exhibition in Frankfurt. It looks a little quirkier than the photo implies but the neck feels exactly as you'd expect from the picture. Notice the Mercury style fretboard end.

I just bought my new Acoustic instore in Edinburgh

Seemed like a bunch of good guys... knew their stuff (if you filter the obvious bullshit)

Decent price too. I'm chuffed.

Sweet thanks, I may buy something online from there for xmas... they have some 'interesting' stuff. But I'd be doing it online, I have been stung before! Not buy them I might add so I'm always a little cautious

Ah, it's slightly less pretty.

I thought it had a crazy pickup ring around the bridge pup, not some silly pickguard fragment.

You've just got be thinking on something, Reece. If you put another sheet (or two) of double ply black/white scratchplate beneath that, and had it cut the same shape but slightly larger so that all pieces have the same bevel, you could get like a stack or pyramid of scratchplate that might look cool. Or shit.

GG probably has the best instore selection as far as new stuff goes. Even if you're going to buy online give them a ring first and try to do a deal, they've always got a bit of movement in the prices.

The same stock can normally be found a little cheaper through other online outlets.

i'd agree with this- they always have a pretty good selection of stuff if you want to go in and have a twiddle. shortly after the edinburgh one opened i went in and they had a few jags and jazzies in odd colours (daphne blue jazzmaster with matching headstock, sherwood green jag, etc) that they'd managed to get hold of as a one-off batch. i've only ever bought pedals and cables from them though.
