22.5 scale compstang?

Post by robert(original) »

if this truly is an original then it has to be rare as fook!
i thought the only stangs with the 22.5 scale necks were a few 64 models and those were few and far between.
as far as a 69 with a 22.5 scale, thats damn near unheard of!

well the swinger was designed to get rid of those 22.5" necks. it's possible one was put on a mustang. i wonder if the neck stamp is from '66 like a lot of swingers.

i was a bit disapointed that there aren't any heal shots proving the a, and mustang code, or other code.

hmmm ... too beaten up for a collector's piece and way too spendy for a player. Bad deal, even if it's rare.

strat-talk says: Shortscale is a crazy place. There seems to be no rules at all and they're all insane!

+1, the seller's been trying to sell it at that ridiculous price forever.

Over the years, I've only seen a handle of 22.5 scale competition mustangs but owned a red 1975 musicmaster that had a 22.5" scale neck (dated 1966).
