Sorry to be a pain but are there any blues or purples left? I'd well be up for buying some to spread the shortscale word.

I know, and I've apologised for this countless times. I know it's a little late too, that's why I asked if there are any left over.

It's possible there are a few. We're short on purple for sure (not many people ordered purple and with the one of each I had to go from my original 25 down to 19 to make the numbers add up) but then they shipped us a few extra. I've waited to post about it because I wanted to see what I actually got first. I don't think it's very many but Ends and I decided to take a few out of that to send to Icey and to divy up the rest of those between ourselves for organising it. I don't know about the numbers, or how many of each colour.

I'll speak to Ends about it and if if he has a fair few spare of that sort of guage, have him bring some to Broefest, then when I get back sell you a few of those and a few of my spares or something along those lines. It might not go through, especially as Ends and I are both mostly after those colours ourselves but there's a chance it could work out still.

So no promises, but I may be able to ship you some out in a month's time.

I want to make sure any miscounts are handled first before we divy out any of the extra picks. Like James said, it's not a whole lot. After any miscounts are wrapped up and all the original orders are verified satisfied, then we'll see what's left over.

For the miscounts I'm not sure what the best policy is. As mentioned already shipping one plectrum to Australia is hardly cost effective. I think perhaps for the members who are fortunate enough to live near enough for meet-ups, Ends and I could hold a few back and Ends and I could make amends at Progfest, some East Coast meet-up or whatever. For the California lot (is that just Mickie?) I'll be able to pick up a few spares from Ends at Broefest and bring them with me.

I think if it's a matter of a 1-2 picks... consider it payment to the gods or something. For every 1 pick missing from 1 order, there's probably 1 extra in someone elses. Like I said, disparities are almost certain but I went over and over each count before bagging so they should be extremely rare.

So my parents got a letter from customs and I owe 28 english pounds (stupid american keyboards with no symbol). Bunch of cunts it should be zero. Hopefully be posted out very soon but of course with the strike so soon it doesn't look great.

I've seen lots of the plectrums in person in Buffalo and they looked fantastic. They'll be worth the wait.

I read through all the details and made a big post about it. If you send a package which contains smaller packages that are marked for individual addresses than each smaller package has a limit of 36GBP. The way we did it should have come within those rules.

The fee is likely to be
14.50 VAT
13.50 handling fee

But that would mean that the value stated on the package was only 100GBP. Which with 14 or so envelopes inside comes well within the 36 per person limit. The only thing I can think is that they've charged for some packages and not others. The 36 limit is for gifts, so its possible Ends didn't mark it that way, but from talking to him it doesn't sound as if he made any mistakes of that sort.

I'd say customs would know that 900 plectrums cost more than 20. Also if they got lost somehow being able to at least get the money back on them would be something. We would have gone for that if we were definitely paying the fee, but the individual addresses is a legal and genuine way of not having to pay them. It should have worked fine.

If you you're right about it being fine to do it that way you should just tell them when you go to pick the stuff up. It'll just have been some underpaid, overworked postie that doesn't have time to check what's in the package properly. Although now that I've typed this out I realise that you probably are going to do that so this post is pointless.
