I have the same exact Stagg BM350 bass. They're inexpensive, but once you give them a proper setup they're actually quite good.

That's odd, the name on the headstock looks like it's a decal and not a raised plate.

I think Stagg have stopped doing the plate, I never see 'em anymore.

Definitely better-looking without the plate. A major complaint is that it sits in a recess, so when it falls/is taken off, you're left with an indentation on the headstock.
