I would love one. That they have a chunky neck only adds to their appeal to me.

Well, I bought a new volume pot and fixed the wiring up, the stock pickups sound pretty average to me but that may be because I would normally be using the tone knob to muffle the tone a little bit, hate shrill tonez. I think that because the body is very light and has a large route under the pickguard the guitar has a rather acoustic quality when played clean.

Although it is one of the legendary Vista models I would say it's of lower quality and plays less well than my Chinese Jagmaster (which is excellent). It's still a very decent guitar though.

There's one for sale at the local mom and pop. been there for years and just getting dustier. It'll be mine eventually, I've played it and like the neck quite a bit. pups are underwhelming however. Not even trashy sounding... just meh.

What color is it? I need to find some pawn shop type stores that get guitars and check them out from time to time. I think a Warmoth Jag-stang in sea foam green would be awesome.

It's black and plays real well. The neck is great with real solid fretwork. Body is comfy, it's just a little blah plugged in, but that's an easy fix.

here's a mint Venus just relisted on eBay

Since the pickups have gotten lackluster reviews, it would cool to have an identical guard made and put completely new everything in. save the original for resale.

I'm sure if we were to backtrack, we'd see I got a dibs in about a week and half ago... Still jealous.
