kaoss pad + grey box??? youtube

Post by hirnsaege »

hey, I recently saw a video, which kind of is belonging to this forum

time:: 1:15-1:30

thought this guy is "hurb" in the video from here...
what was that grey thing he put it through?
and where to buy, if its selfmade where to buy something which is like that?
just asking because i am no native english speaking person and do not understand all that he is saying which is based on the nature of my bad english haha
thanks!

it's a bypass looper. it is not an effect but a device which allows you to take effects and put them out of your normal signal path.

kaoss pad mini results in some volume loss, and can colour your toanezzzz.

as a result, hurb used an overdrive to boost the volume, and then used a bypass loop to only use the volume boost and kaoss pad when he clicked on the bypass pedal.

guitar>>>>>BYPASS PEDAL>>>>>>>>amp
................\overdrive>Kaoss/................

ignore the "....." that was just to space the overdrive & kaoss pad properly

The signal pad is not a booster, it's the opposite and will only make your signal quieter.
