The Golds are great too, but the Blue is hard to beat in the neck position.
I agree, I have a blue lace in the neck of my mustang. A gorgeous sounding pickup. I've got a red in the bridge, which is good distorted but nothing too exciting when clean. Right now it has 1 meg pots, and when the guitar had the stock 250k pots, the red was utter shit when clean. I'm thinking of switching the bridge to a blue, also.
LRCs old FrankenSonic. Not too sure on all the parts but i know the neck is a 65 Mustang neck, it has been refinished in 'Turbo Orange' like its Mustang sister model that i also own.
Plays great and sounds good too.

Is that a mint guard? One of the things I love about mint is that it never looks like itself.

No, it's just the original white that came with the guitar.
The new pickups are cream or aged white. Definitely an off white.
