or whatever the model name of those small cheap solid state marshalls is.

it was my first amp ever, i still use it to record silent (lineout) because it sounds so crap. a few years ago the clean channel went bust, no sound. but now even the dirt channel doesn't work when i turn it on so i have to turn it on and off a couple of times until i get sound. too bad, it's a fun little amp.

lol

really, it's a bummer when your first amp ever dies ! it's not a mini half stack, those didn't exist yet then, it's a combo, i think with a 10" speaker or even smaller i'm not sure. and has reverb, delay, flanger on it. i think in loudquietloud kim deal has one of those on the tourbus too ?

the 15 watt one way my first amp, borrowed along with a squier affinity strat from my uncle.

checklist:
  • Amp is turned on.
  • Distortion switch is on.
  • Gain is on 10.
  • Bass, Mids and Treble are all on 10.
  • Volume is on 10.
  • Pickup selector is on the bridge.

yea the 15 watt one was my first amp as well. I eventually got an AVT100 from a friend for $50 and sold the MG to someone else.

I gave my Dad my first amp (well he did buy it for me after all...) a Fender solid state beauty. Champion 110 I think.

My school has one of these and its probably reaching the end of its life now, they bought it in 2005.
Sounds like arse but the delay effect is pretty sweet.

lol totally, just crank every knob on it and go !

i like the very short delay like somewhere inbetween a delay and reverb setting, you can get those 'kills' sort of sounds very crappy but sooooo good.

The only experience I've ever had with these is at my local music shop, and for some reason the owner set the amp to BROOTALZ distortion while I was getting a strat down from the wall. Neat little amp, but I'm glad i got a Bandit 112 instead.

My first amp was a Park combo. It had three tubes in the back and wasn't really mine, I just borrowed it and never gave it back. It had problems and eventually broke. I didn't know much about amps at the time, but I remember it made any guitar I had sound quite nice.

My first amp that I bought for myself was a Line 6 Flextone III, which was actually really, really good and crushingly loud. Sold it to fund the purchase of my Peavey Classic 30.

I also own a WEM 100 watt solid state head, but no amp cab, so I can't really use it. I used it at a gig a while back though for bass, and it was really quite nice.
