FREE AMP DAY

Image

Guitar Research T64RS mini half-stack. 60W hybrid (complete with LED behind the 12AX7) with a 4x8" cab.

The bass player in my band had this in his garage for a few years - old guitar player left it there cause it was broken and never claimed it, now nobody knows where he is.

Only things wrong are missing chassis bolts (scavenged already), missing tube (had one), and no speaker cable. I tried it plugged into another amp's cab and it sounded pretty OK - should be better through its own cab. It looks kinda cool and I like the idea of a 4x8" cab.

IT SMELLS LIKE BURNING HAIR! awesome.

I fucking know it. Right now there's 3 guitars and 4 amps in my room. Most I've ever had was 8 guitars, an amp, and a full pedal board. It was 1.5 car trips just to get guitar stuff home that year.

I also just got a 1990s Fender Champion 110, the same amp Cat Power used on her first few records. It's like as soon as I got my dream guitar I shifted to amps.
